During this tutorial we are going to look at “Reusable Blocks in WordPress”.
Firstly, I hear you ask, what is a Reusable Block in WordPress?
According to wpbeginner.com “A reusable block in WordPress editor is a content block saved individually to be used later. Many bloggers often add the same content snippets in multiple articles such as call-to-actions at the end of the blog post or links to follow the blog in social media”
To start you want to add a new post from your WordPress dashboard and then follow this simple step-by-step guide;
- Add New
- Enter a new Post Title
- Click the plus button to add blocks (Full tutorial on this in the articles mentioned below)
- Select Imagine
- Click Options (or the 3 dots)
- Select Add to Reusable blocks
- Enter a Name to Create your new Reusable Block
- Click Save
Now your Reusable Block is ready to reuse across your website. To update the block, select one of the options in the top left-hand corner of the imagine. Your changes will apply everywhere you have used it.
So, that’s how you create a Reusable Block in WordPress.
