Some of you have been with me for years and I genuinely appreciate your loyalty. As my business has grown, I’ve updated the way I look after client websites to make sure everyone gets the level of care and protection they deserve. Below are your two options. There’s no pressure either way — have a read and choose whichever feels right for you.
Option 1: The Digital Insurance Plan — £20/month
This is my recommended option and the one that gives you proper peace of mind. For £20 a month, I personally look after everything: weekly updates to WordPress and all your plugins, daily backups of your entire website, security monitoring, uptime checks, and working-hours support whenever you need me. If something goes wrong, I’m already on it — usually before you even notice. The standard price for this level of care is £49 a month, but as a long-standing client you’re getting it for less than half that. It means your website is properly protected and you never have to worry about the technical side of things.
Option 2: Stay on Basic Hosting — £5/month
If you’d prefer to keep things as they are, that’s absolutely fine. Your hosting stays at the same £5 a month it’s always been. The only change is that your payments will move across to Stripe, which means a simple monthly card payment instead of manual invoices. Your website will continue to run with automatic updates switched on, but without the hands-on care and monitoring that comes with the managed plan. If anything does go wrong — a broken update, a security issue, or something that needs fixing — that would be charged separately at my standard hourly rate.
